This week we got new brief to design a logo for 4Mations also a website home page and banner ad. Looking forward to this project as I haven't used Flash that much and will learn more web design skills.
I started by trying a sketchy style as it would show the animation theme /style.
I also tried pixel art style logo as think it shows the theme of the channel and could be interesting to animate. I like the pixel idea more then the sketchy style one so I will be developing it more. I think the solid shape looks much better than the pixels that are spaced out.
Inspirations
Very unusual wedding invatation / desgin by Part & Parcel. Love how the R & S form a knot, think the illustration would look better if it was the same shape as the one in the photo? Think the R & S is more clear using the real rope. Overall a really nice design.
Character Design Today
Old book but just been looking though it, really love all the different characters. Very eye catching and different from western design. They seem to have a cute character design for any type of product or service.
