Last week

I have finished my 4 week placement at JAK, ... I have improved working to shorter deadlines and designing editorial layouts. I thought it was great to see the whole design process of the magazine. Nearly all the designs I worked on were approved by clients and printed in the magazines too, making it a worth while experience. Two of the mags still need to be printed so will have to wait to get a copy of them. I found the 4 weeks went over much more quickly than I thought it would and was good to work on different area of design work to my other placements.

Spot the difference illustration I done to use as one of the magazine competitions, really happy with it, there are 11 differences altogether.
Redesign I did for the Remember when section where they show old postcard photos of the local area, used old style script typeface and old paper texture to reflect the images.
Full page advert on the back cover of the Durham magazine for local Thai restaurant, they had some great photography to use so was interesting and enjoyable to do.
